Beschreibung
We warmly invite you to a roundtable discussion on the EU’s next Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) 2028–2034, which will be decisive for Europe’s climate and environmental future. The event will bring together policymakers, climate and environmental experts, and civil society stakeholders to exchange ideas on how climate action, biodiversity protection, and environmental safeguards can be effectively secured in the next EU budget.
The event will be structured in three parts: the first session will explore the green budget architecture of the MFF, including the 35 % climate and environment spending target and the European Competitiveness Fund. The second session will focus on the LIFE programme, civil society contributions to the MFF negotiations, biodiversity earmarking, and stronger environmental safeguards. The third session will feature a panel discussion on how the new MFF architecture may affect different actors and regions, particularly smaller civil society organisations, lower-capacity regions, and biodiversity-focused projects.
We would be delighted to welcome you to this important exchange and look forward to your participation.
This event will be held in English and is free of charge.
