With nearly 67 billion euro (2020) in official development assistance, the EU and its member countries are the world’s leading donor. International partnerships are one of the pillars of the EU’s external action aimed at fighting inequalities, empowering youth and advancing the green and digital transition, with the ultimate goal of eradicating poverty.

What are the priorities of international partnerships? How does the EU ensure that its activities reach the people on the ground and support democratic values? How have EU policies evolved over time to respond to the increasing challenges caused by conflicts, climate change and inequalities?
